New Charity Shop Opens in Leigh-on-Sea

We’re delighted to announce the opening of our brand new Charity Shop in Leigh-on-Sea tomorrow, Friday 21st December, at 91 Leigh Broadway!

The shop, situated in the old site of womenswear store Glances at 91 Leigh Broadway, will raise vital funds to help us provide services for homeless people in the town.

We support over 1,000 people every year who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness, and the new shop in Leigh-on-Sea is our fourth shop in the local area.

Shop Manager Peter Bond said “our shops are so important - not just to raise money, but to engage the community in our mission to help people overcome homelessness too. Some donations are sold and the profits are used to support homeless people, whilst others go to directly support someone in need.”

He continued “we work closely with our Day Centre on York Road in Southend to ensure that rough sleepers have access to clean, dry clothes, and furniture donations are often used to furnish our hostels or to provide people moving into their own home with the essentials. We urgently need good quality donations and would love to hear from anyone that can either donate goods or volunteer their time.”
