Sponsor a Key Worker

SEE THE DIFFERENCE YOUR SUPPORT CAN MAKE

HARP's Key Workers provide life-saving, life-changing support to vulnerable people in Southend all year round. Sponsor a Key Worker to get regular updates on how your support is making a direct impact on local people experiencing homelessness.

If you choose to Sponsor a Key Worker, you will get four updates per year on their recent work, and the successes that your support has enabled. Sponsor a Key Worker with a minimum donation of £19.50 per month.

Prakash has worked for HARP for 9 years, and loves everything about the work, including the clients he supports, his dedicated co-workers, and the ethos of HARP as an organisation. Prakash’s biggest success at HARP was securing a forever home for a long-standing rough sleeper who had major trauma resulting in trust issues.

Client quote – “'I came here with nothing, today I have everything I want. Thank you Prakash and thank you to HARP.”

Charlie is new to HARP, having joined our Supported Housing team in July 2021. Charlie loves learning on the job, picking up new skills and expanding her knowledge on important subjects. Charlie’s successes include working with a client to help them claim their benefits, and working on the client’s future plans - including starting weight lifting!

Client quote – “Charlie is so friendly and easy to talk to, I’m so glad she’s joined the team at HARP!”

Harriet celebrated her one year anniversary at HARP in November 2021. She loves how no two days are ever the same, and although there are big challenges, Harriet loves that she’s able to make a positive impact on people’s lives. She recently helped a client engage with mental health services, and they’re now volunteering in the community and moving forward with their life!

Client quote – “You honestly do so much for me Harriet! You sort every problem I have and I'm really grateful to you."

Donations to our Christmas appeal will help us to provide meals, entertainment, activities and much-needed care and support to local homeless people over the Christmas period and beyond. All donations will be spent where we feel the need is greatest. Many people like to support HARP with non-monetary gifts at Christmas time. Click here to find out more about the items we need to provide presents for local homeless people, and to support our efforts over the festive period.
