Tarpot Harvester raise over £220 for HARP!

After attending an Ellie Goulding concert for homeless people in London last year, Tarpot Harvester team member Leanne wanted to do something to help homeless people in her home town of Southend.

In the following week, Harvester told their staff that they could choose who would be their Christmas charity. Remembering the concert, Leanne suggested HARP. Harvester raised an amazing £222.95 through a number of festive activities. This money will help us to support local people as they take steps towards overcoming homelessness permanently.

Leanne told us: “We did breakfast with Santa, with the help of Movie Manic who dress up as Disney characters, as well as Santa.

“We had people from the year before ringing us and asking when we were doing it again, we actually did three this Christmas, because they were such a success.

“We set up a little Christmas Grotto and we had different stations. The children made reindeer food, wrote and posted letters to Santa and decorated the Christmas tree. At the end the children sat in front of the fire and sang songs with Santa, before the kids got to meet him one by one, having photos and receiving little presents. It was really great fun!”

We would like to say a massive thank you to Leanne and her manager, Selina, and the rest of the team at Harvester for raising this much needed money for HARP.
