Pop-up Shelter Reopened Due to Cold Snap

Due to the extremely cold weather forecast over the next few days, the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, or SWEP, is once again in place.

During SWEP, due to increased danger to life, no one should be forced to sleep out, so we’ve reopened our pop-up shelter so no one has to.

Together with our partners and Southend-on-Sea City Council, we're working hard to get everyone in, but you can do your bit too.

If you see someone sleeping rough, raise a StreetLink alert, and our Outreach Team will respond. During SWEP, raising a StreetLink alert could save a life.
