How to Help Rough Sleepers During the Cold Snap

Due to the extremely cold weather forecast over the next few days, the Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, or SWEP, is now in place.

During SWEP, due to increased danger to life, no one should be sleeping rough, and additional resources are made available to make sure no one has to.

Together with our partners and Southend-on-Sea City Council, HARP are working hard to get everyone in, but you can do your bit too.

If you see someone sleeping rough, raise a StreetLink alert, and our Outreach Team will respond. During SWEP, raising a StreetLink alert could save a life.
