Leigh Street Collection on World Homeless Day

The Leigh-on-Sea street collection to mark World Homeless Day on Saturday, 10th October went swimmingly thanks to the presence of Olympic and World champion swimmer Mark Foster lending his support.

Organised by HARP volunteer, Niqui Denkmayer, other volunteers including some of Niqui’s friends, along with several churches in and around Southend (including St Helen’s, St Peter’s, Our Lady of Lourdes and the Wesley Methodist Church) raised over £800.
