Providing blue skies and bright futures for local people experiencing homelessness.

By supporting our Bluebird Appeal and helping to bring this exciting project to life, you will be directly impacting on some of Southend's most vulnerable people.

On average, at HARP we support around 1,000 people every year, including 250 young people. Bluebird will provide vital stability for up to 50 people at any one time, and will be targeted towards those with medium and complex needs, to enable more local people to take positive steps towards overcoming homelessness for good.

We're aiming to raise £175,000 for Bluebird, and everyone can play their part by contributing in a variety of ways.

£60,000 towards Bluebird's on-site Learning for Life Centre

Bluebird's on-site Learning for Life Centre will provide learning, development and training opportunities for Bluebird residents and other HARP clients.

By developing skills to improve employability, budgeting and tenancy sustainment, people can leave homelessness behind for good.

We're raising £60,000 towards the costs of Learning for Life at Bluebird.

£94,300 towards Communal & Bedroom Furnishings

Each of the 50 Bluebird rooms will be fully kitted out for comfortable living, with a bed, wardrobe, drawers, TV and desk & chair, as well as bedding and towels.

The communal areas of each house will also provide a sofa, dining furniture, TV, kitchen and soft furnishings to provide a platform for recovery from homelessness.

We're raising £93,400 towards communal & bedroom furnishing costs.

£20,700 towards Outdoor Communal Facilities

Bluebird will provide a serene, tranquil space for residents to make positive changes. Key to this are the Outdoor Communal facilities at Bluebird.

Each house will have a landscaped area with plants, and outdoor furniture to allow residents to enjoy a slice of nature in the City. There will also be a bike store to encourage healthy, green travel.

We're raising £20,700 towards the costs of Bluebird's outdoor communal facilities.
