We're recruiting our next Chair of Trustees

Our Chair of Trustees, Richard Hair, is standing down after 16 years of dedicated service to the Charity.

"After a wonderful 16 years I am standing down as Chair of Trustees at HARP, hoping that my wife Anita and I will soon be moving away from Southend to retire.

"It has been an absolute privilege to have the honour of acting as Chair and a huge pleasure to work with such a talented team and see the extraordinary work that happens at HARP. It has also been a very humbling experience, and lovely to see how HARP makes such a huge difference to so many peoples’ lives. I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard the all too familiar Service User expression - “HARP saved my life”.

As we wish Richard a fond farewell, we begin the search for a new Chair of Trustees to carry our charity forward and deliver exciting new projects and services for local homeless people over the coming years.

We are now actively looking for our next Chair to enable the Trustees to fulfil their responsibilities for the overall governance and strategic direction of HARP, and continue providing excellent leadership and direction to the Board.

If you or someone you know might be interested in this voluntary role, which provides leadership to an organisation that changes around 1,000 local lives every year, you can find out more, and how to apply, over at Trustees Unlimited.
