Join HARP's Virtual Spring Walk Over The Easter Holidays

HARP's Spring Walk is going virtual. Will you take steps to help local people ovecome homelessness this Spring?

It's been nearly two years since our last Spring Walk in 2019 as we had to postpone last year's event due to the pandemic. As there will still be fairly strict measures in place this April, we have decided to postpone the in-person event again until 2022, when we have full confidence that things will be back to normal.

But though we may not be able to walk together this year, you can still take steps with us to help local people to overcome homelessness with our Virtual Spring Walk.

How to take part

Taking part in the Virtual Spring Walk is easy. Simply walk three miles or more along the route of your choice any time over the Easter Holiday period (26th March through to the 19th April) to raise vital funds for local people facing homelessness.

The walk is suitable for all ages and abilities. To take part...

  • Sign up here. You can sign up as an individual or a family and will be guided through setting up a fundraising page as part of the registration process.

  • Pick the distance, time and location of your walk - we suggest 3 miles or more but you can adjust your distance based on your ability.

  • Tell friends and family and invite them to sponsor you and give your fundraising a boost in support of HARP by donating via your fundraising page or by texting STEP plus the amount* they want to donate to 70480 (e.g. to donate £5 text STEP 5, for £10 text STEP 10, and so on).

  • Enjoy your walk and then treat yourself to a well-deserved reward (tea and cake anyone?)

Entry is £5 for adults and £3 for children entrance, or £15 for a family of two adults and two children. All we ask is that you try to raise £30, or £50 for a family.

All participants will also get a FREE T-shirt and we will be providing a children's activity sheet to help keep any little one's engaged during your walk.

The people we support are on a difficult and often complicated journey and we want to make sure we can be there for as long as we are needed.

The most difficult journey begins with a single step. So please do join us and enjoy some (hopefully) sunny spring weather as we take steps together to help local people overcome homelessness for good.
