The Red Door in Rayleigh donate to HARP

The Red Door in Rayleigh have donated £200 to HARP after the recent weather conditions posed a real threat to local rough sleepers.

The bar and restaurant, situated on the High Street in Rayleigh, regularly hold fundraisers for local and national charities. Concerned about the recent cold weather, the Manager Sadie Callison contacted HARP to offer a £200 donation to help us continue to reach out to those most at risk.

She said “We like to get involved in charitable events where possible, and our thoughts turned to those on the streets during the recent awful wintery conditions. That’s why we wanted to make a donation to HARP, who provide such vital support to help local homeless people move on from the streets for good”.

ge people to let rough sleepers know that we are there to help. At our day centre in York Road, Southend, rough sleepers can access a free breakfast, shower facilities, and most importantly the opportunity to talk to a trained member of staff about the barriers they are facing, so they can receive the ongoing support needed to overcome homelessness for good.
