Essex Letting Angel’s give new HARP shop a facelift

September 29, 2017

The wonderful people at Essex Letting Angels have volunteered their time and skills to give our new charity shop, which will be opening very soon on Eastwood Road North in Leigh-on-Sea, a much needed facelift.

Before we open the new shop's doors to the public, it needed some TLC. Luckily for us, kind-hearted letting agents, Essex Letting Angels - who are also based in Leigh-on-Sea - donated the time and expertise of their maintenance team.  Christopher Albert, Sean Hefferman and Chris Bury, (pictured), spent the day at the new shop painting and decorating this week and our Shop Manager, Peter Bond (also pictured), is delighted with the improvements!

Peter said: “It makes such a difference to HARP when the community gets behind us, either by donating or volunteering their time and skills. Our shops provide a wonderful way for the public to get involved in our mission to End Rough Sleeping in Southend, and we hope our new shop will raise much needed funds to help us reach out to more local homeless people in need.  It was a pleasure working with the maintenance team from Essex Letting Angels and we can’t thank them enough for all their support”

While Essex Letting Angel's Chris told us: “We renovate all kinds of properties but it’s been nice to do something different and help a local charity”.

The new shop will soon be accepting donations of clothes and bric-a-brac, and all money raised will help support local people that are homeless. HARP, based in Southend, also have a furniture shop in London Road, Westcliff, which is also in need of donations of furniture and white goods.
