Barleylands gives HARP cash boost

Barleylands have kindly handed over four cheques for £1,000 to four local charities, including us, from the money raised at the Essex County Show 2016!

We were invited to a cheque presentation event at the Farm Park, along with the three other charities selected: Southend Hospital’s Dementia Appeal and Down Syndrome Extra 21.

We're incredibly grateful to receive donations from local businesses, they allow us to give local people the best possible chance of overcoming homelessness for good. We currently house up to 170 people who would otherwise be homeless and have every year over 1,000 people, who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, visit our Bradbury Day Centre for help.

The Essex County Show has supported local charities since the event first took place at the Billericay Farm Park in 1986 and has donated over £250,000. Show Chairman Andrew Philpot said: “We are proud to have supported so many local charities over the years – it’s been a huge pleasure to raise much needed funds for the benefit of local people.”
