HARP 24 fundraising target smashed!
HARP's 24 hour relay event took place on the 25/26th of June for the fifth year in a row, attracting running clubs and individuals from all over Southend and further afield.
We're absolutely delighted to announce that we've smashed our £10,000 fundraising target with the current total standing at just over £12,000! Sponsorship is still coming in, so if you've yet to send your money in, we'll have raised even more.
Setting off at midday on Saturday, 25th June, over 330 runners ran the 4.2 mile circuit as many times as possible until the end of the race at midday on Sunday. Collectively, they ran 1,852 laps of the course, equating to an astonishing 8,222 miles - which is the distance from Southend to Western Guinea!
