Volunteer Role Description

 

Volunteer Title:   Outreach Volunteer              

Reports to:           Navigation Team/Coordinator

Service:                 The Bradbury Centre/Vancouver House

Rota:                      Monday to Sunday

 

 

Duties will include:

  • Assist the team in providing outreach to adults at risk, who are experiencing homelessness in the local area.

  • Support people in managing their mental, physical health problems or substance misuse.

  • Provide a safe and well-maintained service.

  • Provide meaningful conversations and interventions with those who are currently at risk.

  • Visit local known rough sleeping locations, to provide emergency support and provisions.

  • The role is very sociable, interacting with staff, volunteers and clients.

 

Shift time: 2:00pm-10:00pm/4:00pm-12:00am

 

Volunteers will be provided with an induction, training and ongoing support.

Any out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
