We are looking for people who bring a range of skills to the organisation to help us meet our mission.

HARP is Southend-on-Sea’s leading homelessness charity and every year we work with around 1,000 local people to help them overcome or avoid homelessness.

It is an exciting time to be joining HARP. The organisation has undergone significant change and growth over the past twelve months and we have ambitious plans for the future which will continue to transform lives.

About The Role

Ref: HPM01

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for preventing homelessness and creating lasting change? Join HARP, Southend-on-Sea’s leading homelessness charity, as our new Head of Prevention & Move On. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development of innovative services aimed at preventing homelessness, ensuring resettlement success, and leading a team that provides high-quality floating support & tenancy sustainment across the city. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping operational strategies, developing new approaches, and ensuring that those we support have the tools to live independently. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing service with a mission to end rough sleeping in Southend.

As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll manage a portfolio of services designed to reduce homelessness before it starts, in addition to overseeing resettlement pathways for long-term housing stability. You will have the autonomy to shape services, lead a dynamic team of coordinators and managers, and work closely with local partners to deliver impactful solutions. This role demands an inspiring leader who can manage complex budgets, champion safeguarding, and drive a culture of innovation and client-centred support. If you're ready to make a real difference in people's lives and help shape the future of homelessness prevention, we want to hear from you.

Closing Date:  22nd October 2024
