Do you believe everyone should have a place to call home and the chance to lead a fulfilling life?

HARP is a growing Southend-on-Sea based Charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable and socially excluded people to transform their lives. Each day our staff and volunteers work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency. From supporting people in crisis to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment, we make a difference to over 1,000 lives every year.

As a charitable registered provider of short-term social housing operating in Southend-on-Sea, we believe everyone should have a home of their own. At times individuals may require support from HARP and other agencies to maintain a tenancy and avoid a return to homelessness.

HARP has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Human Resources, working full time on a permanent basis.  This is a new role and will be an integral part of the Charity supporting the Chief Executive and Directors.  It is very much a “hands on” role dealing with everything from strategic decision making to processing payroll information.

To be considered for this role, you would need to be flexible, empathetic, discreet, inclusive and resilient. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills too.

Closing Date:              1st March 2023 (Midday)

Shortlisting:                2nd March 2023

Interviews:                  17th March 2023

HARP will provide you with excellent support and training to carry out your role effectively, to develop your career and contribution to our clients and of course, the opportunity to work with dedicated colleagues that strive to transform lives.

Our benefits package includes 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays with an extra day of leave awarded after 5 years' service (all pro rata for part time employees).

HARP participate in an auto-enrolment pension scheme through The People’s Pension. Where eligible, you and HARP will each be required to make a contribution to the pension scheme. Employees will also become members of the non-contributory HARP Death In Service scheme. Full details of the schemes can be given on request.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity please contact Jacqueline Saxby, Director of Finance and HR on 01702 615000.
