Harvest 2020

Every Harvest, individuals, churches, schools and community groups collect food items for HARP.

2020 was no different, even though many of you had to do things a bit differently due to the coronavirus pandemic. But you didn't let that stop you!

In the year ending March 2020, we helped 1,221 people take steps towards overcoming homelessness, including up to 223 HARP residents, which means we use a whole lot of food! That hasn't changed during Covid, so thank you to everyone who supported us over the Harvest period.

Thanks to you we have filled two whole shipping containers with non-perishable food, which will help us to provide hot nutritious meals and food parcels throughout the next 12 months.

“Harvest is always a fantastic time of year for us at HARP. It's wonderful to see so people in the local community coming together to help some of the most vulnerable people in our town."

“The donations mean that we can provide healthy meals to our services users, whilst also allowing us to forward plan our menus so we have as little waste as possible. Last year, we served over 60,000 meals across our services, meaning the food we receive at Harvest really does make a huge difference.”

Dean Massey, HARP's Catering Coordinator.
