Set up a Facebook Fundraiser

Setting up a Facebook Fundraiser is an easy way to support HARP, spread the word about our work, and get your Facebook friends involved in helping homeless people in Southend to overcome homelessness for good.

Setting up a Facebook Fundraiser is easy: 

Anchor 1

  1. Log into your account

  2. Go to: www.facebook.com/fundraisers

  3. Click "Select Charity."

  4. Type "HARP Southend (Official)" and select it from the list that appears

  5. Set your target and follow the instructions given by Facebook

  6. Share with your Facebook friends on your timeline and invite them to donate individually

One of the important things that will encourage your friends to donate is what you say on your Facebook fundraiser. Here are some things to include:

  • What HARP does: "HARP helps local people to overcome homelessness for good through it's prevention services, support, training and accommodation."

  • Why you are passionate about helping people to overcome homelessness for good. 

  • Why you've chosen to do that by supporting HARP. 

​

It also helps to make a small donation yourself to get the ball rolling.
