Children at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Leigh-on-Sea have been collecting chocolate Easter Eggs, juice and coffee for HARP, Southend’s Homeless Charity, showing great compassion to local homeless people over the festive period. The Red Door in Rayleigh have donated £200 to HARP after the recent weather conditions posed a real threat to local rough sleepers. Following the recent bout of snow, the daffodils are finally beginning to appear, and we are asking people to keep those that are homeless in their thoughts as the weather brightens. We are inviting people to help us end rough sleeping in Southend by taking part in our Prittle Brook Spring Walk fundraising event, which is taking place on Sunday 22nd April at 2pm.
